Yeohlee Teng belongs in the same category as Bonnie Cashin and Issey Miyake - a designer whose primary focus is to make clothing that is beautiful in its very function. None of the oversized button appliques of a Moschino or the painted naked breasts a la Vivienne Westwood, her clothing is not meant to obfuscate the women inside of them but rather let their eyes and words speak for them instead. A fine red wool flannel that appears to be a cape at first glance but has stitched-down sleeves. No trying to find your own hand when getting out a MetroCard. Fastens at the neck with two simple red button and loop closures with a fantastic tie hood. Shirttail hem, this also bears a Bullocks Wilshire label. Sized for a modern 6 to 12, it is 46" long.
