1970s Whipstitched Suede Jacket

spotlight One thing is for sure, a vintage leather or suede jacket is always going to be a good thing. Better than their contemporary counterparts, the vintage babies will always be distinctive because not a whole lot of mall chicks are going to be sporting the same piece. We adore old Mexican and Californian pieces, with their very chic hippie attitude and everlasting construction. A dark, dark brown hacking suede jacket with honey accents, whipstitched around the edges and closing at the middle with a row of thick, cut leather button and loop closures and a built-in hourglass silhouette. The gathered set-in sleeves have exposed stitching along the undersides to echo the tiny Xs that hold together the entire jacket. Turnback cuffs and inseam pockets spell "girlie" and the jacket is lined in wine rayon satin. Bust measures 32", shoulder to shoulder 15", outer sleeve 22" and total length 27". Atrributed to North Beach Leather Pitiquito, this no longer has the label. The lighter parts of the suede are dirty and the lining has several light spots but a jacket like this in brand new condition defeats the whole purpose, ya dig? Aside from the minor soiling, it is in excellent condition. $815.00
