1960s Chester Weinberg Pointillist Print Dress

spotlight If you could get in one famous closet, who would you pick? We've tossed this one around for almost two decades but Goldie Hawn's vintage style ranks kinda high for all of us. Playful, feminine - a personality strong enough to carry just about any damn thing you give to her. In anything, Goldie Hawn will never be dominated by clothing. A great dress is fashion's version of that perfect woman, being able to do so many things at once. It has to, above all, flatter you but it should look good all by itself on the hanger; a soft piece of art. If all a dress had to be was protection from nudity and the elements, a plain tube would be all you'd need. But no, you want your dress to be your best friend for the time you're in it. You want it to tell people the story of who you are at that minute. Chester Weinberg's vintage WOW of a dress in violet pointillist cotton voile. Tiered in gorgeous little ruffles, it has a high waist and cropped sleeves with a ruffled band collar and purple velvet ribbon at the waist, adorned with a simple flat bow. Just so Goldie, it is lined in purple silk crepe de chine. Gorgeous with Brian Atwood high pink heels at night and low Roger Vivier mary janes by day. Bust measures 36", shoulder to shoulder 15.5", outer sleeve 18" and total length 43.5", it is in excellent condition. on etsy
