1990s Stephen Sprouse Boucle Micromini

the beginnings of athleisure Stephen Sprouse was the perfect balance of Madison Avenue and punk. From toga minidresses in neon satin to, well, neon anything, he knew how to make sexy sexless somehow. That's not easy to do because sexy can so easily cross over into trashy but never Sprouse. For his Barney's resurrection in the 90's, a vivid red mohair/wool/micromini to wrap over chartreuse opaque tights. Backed in red nylon crepe, it sits on the lower waist or high hips and stays closed with big red velcro panels. 31" hip/waist and 12" long. Flawless, unworn condition with original Barney's tags. Sigh, Barney's. on ebay
