1950s Magenta Pleated Cotton Shirtdress

great dress in a great size Are you so sick of the word "vibe' yet? We're getting close. But it really does mean something that other words don't convey. Like a tradwife. And that has taken on a really awful meaning but if you were a kid in the 50s and 60s, a tradwife mom was a pretty cool thing to have. She picked you up from school and never looked like she was tapped out, even when she was. She made cookies from scratch. None of that slice off the log stuff (which is only good raw anyway). But she wasn't all up the school's face, trying to ban books or certain kids from playing sports. Tradmom was glam, she was warm and she was nice to everyone. So while you may wonder how you are going to muster the energy to get through the day or throw a Trader Joe's pizza in the microwave because you don't have it in you, you can still look like Lucy in the best of ways. An all cotton magenta floral shirtdress with opalescent fuchsia buttons and a matching belt. the skirt can go wiiiiide with a crinoline or you can wear it as shown here with the pleats doing some of the lifting. Step in and then button from waist up, the sleeves are not quite to the elbow when uncuffed. True magenta with vertical rows of stylised red daisies and daisy outlines in non-metallic gold, the bust measures 38", waist 30" and ttotal length 44". Excellent condition. $220.00
