1960s Pendleton Loden Wool Jumper

spotlight One preppy article of clothing does not a prep make. Look at Charlotte on "Sex and the City". Burberrys bucket hats, Ralph Lauren crewneck sweaters over a white collared shirt and perfect little brown loafers but Charlotte, while a bit prim, was not a prep. Any style is more about the attiude with which you wear it than the clothing itself. Miranda could wear Doc Marten's and not look like she were diving into a mosh pit. Carrie can wear a zip hoodie and not look emo. And Samantha can wear vintage Thierry Mugler and without looking like a person who never got over her Studio 54 days. Paired with a vintage printed nylon Nik Nik shirt with a wide pointed collar and Patrick Cox loafers, you'll look a lot more Soho than Westport. Alternately, you can wear a cotton turtleneck and rubber gardening clogs if Connecticut is your kind of place. Loden green wool with flecks of navy and brown from Pendleton. Lined at the shoulder and chest with sage and baby blue polka dotted cotton, it has darts at the bust and kangaroo pockets over each hip bone. Bust measures 40", hips 42" and length 38". Excellent condition. $180.00
