1970s Missoni Hooded Coat

almost a period piece If a single piece of clothing could be an entire period piece of a film, this Missoni hooded cloak-ish coat would be The French Lieutenant's Woman or Wuthering Heights. Somewhere, high on a cliff, with a very streaky sky of grey and the sound of tumultous, bracking water below. And there you are, head shrouded in wool and taffeta with the hem of your coat blowing behind you. It is full-on drama and while the palette is muted for Missoni, it is still epically Missoni. Greys and taupes in a herringbone weave is lined entirely in ticking-stripe synthetic taffeta. Besom pockets and full sleeves that gather at the wrist, the only closures are an internal and external neck ties at the hollow of your throat. Also with inseam pockets on both sides, he is more myself than I am. Sized for a modern 8 or small 10, the sleeves are 25" and length is 40". Excellent condition. on ebay
