1970s Koos van den Akker Appliqued Mohair Coat

spotlight Over a wispy Alberta Ferretti dress come the first chill of Autumn or layered over a pineapple wool Yamamoto sweater, a vivid violet Koos van den Akker coat is one of those vintage things that shows the truly clueless that "vintage" is not all about bulky 50's coats with mink collars. Fuzzy mohair with collage sleeves in cherry red boucle, yellow wool and a tiny black floral fabric, the sleeves are cut full and come in close at the wrist and the waist belts with a matching sash. Double button closure at the neck and channel-stitched trim, this is unlined and as easy as a cozy robe. Bust meausres 42", shoulder to shoulder 16.5", outer sleeve 22" and length 50". Excellent condition. $985.00
