For anyone that has been following enokiworld, you know that Castelbajac is one of our favorite designers. His no bullshit approach to fashion has always been a crystalline refresher to a jaded old palate sullied by boring mainstream trends and fussy details. He is all about dressing women who move - not a woman as a mannequin. His dresses and coats look vivid and smart on so many different kinds of women; the 70-year-old intellect who has always been attracted to Issey Miyake. The 30-year-old who loves short Alaia dresses and YSL platform stilettos. The 45-year-old who refuses to wear jeans with a 5" rise. His look encompasses an interesting mix of oversized and formfitting - comic and staid. A cream wool flannel dress trimmed in toffee leather, it is urban and edgy without being intellectually pretentious. A giant pocket on the front of the dress is accessed from both sides with a discreet zippered pocket underneath that. His signature zip-out hood lies flat as a yoke when you don't want to have it up on your head and the wide sleeves lend themselves to making this dress totally layerable with a turtleneck and Los Angeles Apparel leggings underneath. Bust and hips up to 38", outer sleeve 23" and length 48". Excellent condition. $595.00 |
