1970s Giorgio di Sant'Angelo DIY Dress

sexy and covered Giorgio di Sant'Angelo was hypersensitive to the individual needs of customers that he would never even meet. Really thinking about how best to please the sort of woman that would be attracted to his work, he made dozens of creative garments that allow each person to customize it, making it uniquely hers. Is that a tough task for a designer whose dresses were being made by the thousands? You betcha it was but Giorgio succeeded time and time again in making something that seemed totally one of a kind. A long, smooth matte rayon dress in deep teal with a dramatically long split hem that forms two almost 10' scarves to wrap around the waist, hips and shoulders. Sleeves that are fitted to the wrist and a deep V neckline, the sky is the limit when it comes to how you'll wear this, no matter how many times you put it on. Layer with scarves at the waist, suede sash belts and Norma Kamali jersey tubes as bands of bright color, and always always wear with high, bare heels. Bust measures 34", shoulder to shoulder 15.5", outer sleeve 24" with a variable hem length due to the ties and how you wear it. Flawless, unworn condition with original hangtags. $810.00
