1970s Bill Gibb Knit Angora Coat

spotlight There is no excuse for not being fabulous anymore unless you're living in an igloo with one bearskin as your every outfit. Even then, there's probably a lot you could do with an ice cube necklace and a walrus whisker for a belt. But most of us live in a world where you could find anything and everything you can think of and all of it as useless as the next in a functional sort of way. A coat to keep you warm? Uhhh, hardly. But as a layer to make even the most basic of Everlane dresses sing like a fat Austrian woman in a Viking helmet, this Bill Gibb angora coat rules. Off white with dusty pink and charcoal stripes reminiscent of Missoni, there are huge slouchy pockets and wide scalloped sleeves. You could go Jimi Hendrix and layer it over Liberty of London Tana lawn or keep it simple simple underneath. Fastens at the ribcage with a pair of faceted Capiz shell buttons. Sized for a modern 6 to 10 and is 48" long. Excellent condition. $895.00
