You could spend all evening at Zappos' website and still close your laptop without having made a purchase. Is it the sick endless litany of choices that leaves you bewildered or do they all seem to fit into four neat categories after the thousandth page? It seems, like all things modern, that they only things really worth messing with are so high-end that they leave you choosing food or shoes or they're so cheap you wonder if your poor feet will even breathe in something so synthetic. What's a nice woman who wants style, humor and something a little different to do? Vintage and only vintage. At the top of the shoe food chain in the 70s and 80s, Maud Frizon made some of the best heels evah. Black silk peau de soie with pleated fuchsia bands that come to the Achilles heel to end in a flat silk bow. Sitting on 3.5" fuchsia silk stiletto heel, we love these with a black leather Thierry Mugler suit over a Christian Lacroix magenta and lime satin blouse.
