1970s Oscar de la Renta Floral Chiffon Dress

jazz age lawn party The problem with whining to your husband about the loss of romance is twofold. One is that your honey was probably never much of a romantic or you never would have married the insipid weasel. Two is that you're barking up the wrong tree altogether. A woman should marry Steve McQueen and look for "romance" somewhere else and where better than Oscar de la Renta. Never a threat to your marriage, a flirtation with a vintage de la Renta dress will satisy your need for proverbial bubble baths and candelight dinners and your hubby doesn't have to try and become something he's not. A flirty floral printed synthetic chiffon dress with a flounced yoke and hem that is longer at the sides so it billows out like a classic 50's dress. Sashed at the waist with a long slip of matching fabric that you can leave trailing down the back or tie in an oversized bow. Backed in white crepe for opacity, this is semi-sheer but wonderfully crisp and shaped. Beautiful with Geoffrey Beene metallic strappy sandals and a thoroughly ostentatious Chanel bracelet from the late 80s. Bust measures 34", waist 25" and length 51". Excellent condition. $355.00
