What happens when you do a redux of a redux? When now does their version of 70s doing the 40s, what does that look like? It is going to be so sad, so watered-down. The only throwbacks that work are the ones nobody can afford but that wasn't always the case. Biba did the 40s and not even the designer 40s. Maybe nobody now could ever redo Biba, not without it being completely out of reach. Maybe vintage is all we have unless we want to overspend or relegate ourselves to cheap yoga pants from Nordstrom Rack. Not all the time, not as your style. Don't succumb! But back to Biba-style. A marcasite belt that shimmers like crystal, each plaque is connected to the next by double silver chains. Fastens invisibly behind a plaque, each rectangle measures about 2" by 2.5" and this will fit low, 30". Excellent condition. $140.00 |
