1960s Davidow Brown and Cream Boucle Suit

spotlight There are certain things in the world of fashion that we have let become the uniform of mainstream and we must reclaim some of them. 1. Black boots (which are worn with every color clothing because regular women are too cheap or senseless to buy both brown and black. 2. Black pants, which are to be worn con gusto by anyone looking to emulate Patti Smith therefore eliminating the loan officer look you see everywhere. 3. The suit. No, you won't look like a pharmaceutical sales rep if you wear a suit unless you shop at the same stores pharmaceutical sales reps shop. Whew, that was a mouthful! When did we let these things slip through our fingers to pool in the morass of mediocrity?! A suit is a wonderful thing, giving you immaculate polish without having to have any clue about how to mix silhouettes or patterns. Of course you could go the Dries Van Noten route and wear this with a printed Kenzo blouse or you could wear it over nothing but a bra and thong, all buttoned up. Davidow's chic little brown, black and cream wool boucle tweed suit with brown jersey trim on the jacket. Fantastic texture, flawless shape and smartly hued, both pieces are lined in brown silk crepe. Bust measures 38", shoulder to shoulder 16", outer sleeve 23" and length 23". Skirt has a 26" waist, hips 37" and length 26.25". Both are in excellent condition with some minor fading at the underarm lining only. $405.00
