1970s Chloe Handpainted Silk Dress and Wrap

spotlight Karl Lagerfeld was really his best at Chloe. None of the fashion burlesque of his work for Chanel, taking the name of a woman who made clothing beautiful and simple and turning it into ludicrous ostentation - Chloe was all about soft French femininity that has a sexiness that is actually quite inviting. A sweet dress from Lagerfeld's more humble days in white and turquoise green silk crepe de chine. Handpainted trees cover the upper bodice and hem, all outlined in gold. Very low cut at the side of the breasts, the flaring handkerchief hem is lined with another white layer of silk with broad green stripes that shows through the top layer of tree leaves and trunk. With a matching wrap that covers the shoulders and has long ties that wrap around the waist, this is gorgeous with high Stella McCartney sandals and a very loose topknot in the hair. Bust measures 34" and length s 48", this is ideally suited for a busty 4 or average 6. Excellent condition, there is one spot the color of weak tea on the wrap - the dress is excellent. $710.00
