1960s Pierre Cardin Red Tweed Dress

now is the time You've seen the old styling of Pierre Cardin collections with the helmets and vinyl shields and probably thought, "I love that dress but the face shield is just not, well, practical.". And it wasn't for the past sixty years. Now is the time for the shield again, friends. It's a matter of high style -and- public health! A Joe Doucet shield with a vintage Pierre Cardin dress is the height of au courant (you still have to wear the mask though). And when we all return to normal, goodbye shield although we might wear masks forever after this. Cardin's signature applique details at the shoulder and oversized patch pockets sitting low under a skinny leather shoestring belt in white. A supple red and white wool that comes off as pink without being prissy. Sort of Bonnie Cashin, don't you think? High band collar, it is lined entirely in red silk charmeuse. Bust measures 34", hips 35" and length 39". Excellent, if not flawless, condition. $705.00
