1960s Bonnie Cashin Leather and Mohair Coat

spotlight For several seasons, women have been toying with the idea of 'biker chic' even if their chosen method of transportation is the no. 6 train. From Alexander Wang to Rick Owens, everything is dirty and tough and fabulously low-maintenance. But long before this look was a trend, a little Bonnie Cashin cult was happening with leather, turnlocks and dark color combinations. With a pair of tall Cherevichkiotvichki boots and skinny little Alaia leggings, we love Bonnie's brown and black mohair coat. Intentionally bulky and cozy, it is trimmed in black leather so the big collar stands at attention when you tell it to. A single deep inverted pleat in the back makes the hem flare when the coat is cinched. Belted cuffs with gilded hardware and deep stitched demilune pockets, this was made for Sills, bien entendu. Bust measures up to 40", shoulder to shoulder 16", outer sleeve 23" and length 41". Excellent condition. $710.00
