1950s Black Longline Bra

how much foundation do you have We're fans of simplicity and still marvel at the lengthy process it used to take a woman just to put on undergarments. You had a longline bra that then attached to a girdle garter and then -that- attached to stockings. You did not go without stockings - bare legs were heresy in those days unless you were Slim Keith. You were hooked and stacked and connected and strapped and that was even before you put on the actual clothes. Then you had dress shields and okay, we'll stop. What we will say is that sometimes you need those vintage foundation garments to get a really believable look in a certain sort of vintage dress. A natural, rounded boob in a contemporary bra would look almost strange. And then there is the whole subculture of "boudoir photography" that wants you just in your vintage underwear. Whatever. "Nice Christmas card you're sending out there, Angela. My grandmother got one. Did you mean to do that?". You know what else? Longline bras are comfortable. We wish more labels would still make them. Mardi Bra's black cotton with satin trim and lots of geometric decorative stitching, it closes in back with 8 rows of lingerie hooks. Size 36C, it is in excellent condition. $140.00
