Dating to about 1980, this is completely unrepresentative of the designer, who mostly belongs in the same category as Angelo Tarlazzi. The huge popularity of The Manhattan Transfer and Fiorucci had a ripple effect on fashion culture for a few years. A black linen "bellhop" suit by Paul Louis Orrier with white satin trim and little new wave checkerboard buttons. Cropped double breasted jacket and wide-legged sailor pants, all lined in black rayon crepe. Made in France, the bust measures 38", shoulder to shoulder 15:, outer sleeve 22" and length 16.5". Pants have a 29" waist, 17" rise and 30" inseam. Condition is good but the white trim on the jacket is rather dingy. sold |
