Somewhere around 25, you realize that not everything looks good on every woman. What is smashing on Alexa Chung looks foolish on you with your hourglass curves. But even though you know not to wear tube tops unless you have tiny boobs, you may not realize that just because you can get something zipped does not mean you should wear it. Like not everyone should wear jeans - they're really only fantastic on women with tight hips and slim thighs (think Goldie Hawn). And women who are particularly short should not wear long skirts with flat shoes. Can anyone say Warren Jeffs' Christian cult?? Hey, we're all for breaking rules but certain basics hold true when it comes to proportion. All these leggy jeans and long coats that are around may look sexy on a 5'11' model who wears size 4 but for most of us, we need to play with the balance. A killer pair of Mother jeans with dropped back pockets and high-heeled boots looks best with a cropped slim jacket. Period. Why hide that ass? They finally make jeans that are perfect for you and you put a coat over them?!?!
