1970s Anne Klein Black Suede Bomber Jacket

let us tell you a corporate story Pepperidge Farm and Godiva were owned by the same parent company until 2007 and all those Milano cookies you ate before that were made of Godiva chocolate but it was a company secret because they didn't want to "cheapen" the Godiva brand. Damn, you knew those Milanos were better than Keebler cookies and there was a reason. Some women need a designer label of a certain kind to even consider a garment but the Godiva story is about to teach us a lesson. Anne Klein. Okay. Licensed to within an inch of its life, vintage Anne Klein was once designed by Donna Karan. Donna Karan is the Godiva and later Anne Klein is the Pepperidge Farm. See where this is going? You'd wear Donna Karan but not Anne Klein? WRONG! We LOVE vintage Anne Klein, when Anne was designing and when it was Donna and Louis Dell'Olio. You will not cheapen the Anne Klein brand with your post-1984 snobbery. But once Donna left Anne Klein, it was over. The rest of it is kinda, well, not good. A 70s black suede bomber with such clean, minimalist lines, it will never look dated. Instead of a satin baseball jacket, think suede. Knit wool cuffs and waist, the neckline is positively seamless and it is lined in heavy, glossy black satin with no pockets to distort the shape. Great with skinny black pants and flats, get on the vintage Anne Klein train with us. We saved you a seat. Bust 38", shoulder to shoulder 16", outer sleeve 23.5" and length 24". Excellent condition. $185.00
