1960s Accessocraft Leather and Chain Belt

spotlight The personality of this belt is best conjured by singing the song "Leader of the Pack" in your head. The Shangri-Las were the perfect blend of tough and girlie - singing about stuff other women didn't touch in those days. Long hair, low-slung pants and a song about fists in the face - oh yeah. The early 60s were the early days of punk and garage, even if nobody knew it. Everyone from Bonnie Cashin to Ronnie Spector was brewing up an accidental cocktail which would lead to the eventual rise of goddesses like Patti Smith and Debbie Harry, culminating in Rihanna's S&M. And if you look very carefully, you will find some of the most bad-assed vintage things from that era that hold their own in any mosh pit. A wide black leather Accessocraft belt with a polished gold buckle, stamped with nailheads, and a triple swag of chains that hangs over your lower belly. Belt is 2" wide and it will fit up to a 32" lower waist/upper hip or can be adjusted smaller with the hidden slide adjustment behind the buckle. Excellent condition. $315.00
